These images don't clearly show it but this is an indented section of concrete behind Te Papa that has a descending ramp.
This is very similar to what I want to create within my boatshed in order to flood it.
There needs to be a descending ramp that leads to a lower pool - lower than the ground floor of the boatshed - in order for a steady flow of the tidal water to enter and subsequently fill/flood the pool/boatshed.
