Chance Meetings that trigger memories:
Began with the idea of a reflective room that symbolized the continual triggering of history and memories after or during a chance meeting.
I attempted to solve the idea of a reflective surfaced room through the use of metal hexagons and when a light is shone within the room it hits one of the hexagons and bounces off the others in the room.
This idea then triggered the idea of a hexagonal room getting smaller the further it goes back.
During a chance meeting (with someone you once knew or have a history with) often memories of that history tend to flood your mind, the hexagon room symbolizes a type of tunnel vision in the sense that all that is present within your mind is that past.
As a tunnel is a form of transportation this concept is literally linking the past to the present.
Atea: A meeting between past and present as well as the trigger of the chance meeting.
