After our first site visit I wanted to get a feel for the atmosphere of the Boatsheds so as well as drawing and videoing the site I took a recording of the sounds within the location. It is quite peaceful and all that is able to be heard is birds, the quiet traffic above, passers-by, and the sound of a quiet boat motor. By attempting to understand the atmosphere of the location it aids me in making decisions for the space I will design within my boat shed. I plan to return to the boatsheds at various times of the day to understand when it is the busiest and loudest to further aid me in the design process.
