Private Seating

While researching interior design in cafes I came across these booths.

The way in which they are designed with the roof and thin walls either end would, I assume, create a sense of privacy when in fact they are very open to their surroundings, this allusion would be great addition to a cafe's seating arrangement as patrons wanting a more private setting could sit within these booths.
